Hello and Welcome to Fiddler's Malt Whisky Bar where we are passionate about Whisky and have over the years tasted, collected, drunk, discussed, nosed, loved, hated, analyzed, enjoyed and (unfortunately) spilt many different Drams. Whether they were, Blends, Vatted Malts, Single Malts, Single Casks, Young or Old Whiskies or, dare I say, not even from Scotland. We don't pretend to know everything about Whisky but we have done an awful lot of tasting and have discussed amongst ourselves and with Friends and Customers what is it that makes a Dram a Truly Great Dram!

Of course, as most enthusiasts do, we have our own little collection of favourites which we do not hesitate in telling anybody who asks about (and sometimes those who do not!). These start our list and are our Top Ten Desert Island Drams, Drams which we would choose to take with us if we were to be washed upon the shore of some Distant Island (unless, of course that Island was Islay, or Orkney, or Skye ...)

As well as our Famous Whisky Library which includes nearly all the Named Scottish Single Malts available from Aberfeldy to Tullibardine we have many individual shelves for some of our more popular malts such as Old Pulteney, Talisker, Macallan, Balvenie, Ardbeg and Bruichladdich. Our Top Shelf is home to many Older Expressions, Award-winning Drams, Inverness Malts, Rare Whiskies and even some International Whiskies. One of Fiddler’s Whisky Bar’s Specialties is Port Ellen with several different expressions open at any one time. Independent Bottlers are also represented to show the amazing breadth and diversity of Scottish Whisky. Our Scotch Malt Whisky Society Selection is an excellent introduction to the world of Single Cask, Cask Strength, Un-chilfiltered and Non-Coloured Whisky, and the nearest thing there is to sampling straight from the barrel in a distillery’s warehouse.

It’s not easy deciding which whiskies to include in our list and we are constantly on the look out for the best of what is available. If you know of any particularly fine dram that you think we should be stocking please let us know and who knows next time you’re here you could well be sampling it with us in our bar.

Our Famous Triple Tastings are always available where we can help Whisky Novices discover Scotland’s National Drink or the more experienced can choose their own favourite or soon-to-be favourite malts. Other Flights of Whisky are available which can showcase a particular Whisky Region, an individual style of Cask and even our weird Otaku Malts. More personalized tastings have taken place and can be organized for groups.

During quieter periods Fiddler’s Highland Restaurant and Malt Whisky Bar is closed from 3 till 6 O’clock leaving our Licensed Coffee Shop open throughout the afternoon.
